«Sono Raffaele De Rosa, anche se in realtà io no «Sono Raffaele De Rosa, anche se in realtà io non esisto. Vivo soltanto nel passato e nel futuro. Voi mi vedete, ma io non sono qui!» Classe 1940, da sempre “veste” i vini della nostra azienda. Pittore autodidatta, scopre l’amore per la pittura fin da bambino. Il suo stile è chiaro da subito: l’arte fantastica è il mondo che più lo rappresenta. Onirico e visionario, Raffaele De Rosa è “il pittore dei sogni”. «Io sono come un bambino padrone del suo mondo e metto in scena i miei sogni, le mie letture, le mie emozioni». Il suo talento viene presto riconosciuto e a soli 19 anni firma il suo primo vero lavoro, dando il via a una brillante carriera che porterà i suoi quadri in tutto il mondo. Anche Tua Rita ha portato, e porta ancora in giro la sua arte, impressa su ogni singola bottiglia. Quest’anno, per celebrare il 25^ anniversario del nostro Redigaffi, abbiamo voluto omaggiare anche l’estro creativo di chi lo ha vestito, illustrato, raccontato da sempre. You can see me but I am not here!» Born in 1940, he has always ‘graced’ the wines of our company. A self-taught painter, he discovered his love of painting as a child. His style is immediately apparent: Fantastic Art is the term that best describes his work. Dreamlike and visionary, Raffaele De Rosa is the ‘artist of dreams’. «I am like a child, master of my world and I enact my dreams, my readings, my emotions». His talent was soon recognised and when he was just 19 years old, he signed his first true work, thus starting a brilliant career that would take his paintings all over the world. Tua Rita, too, took and still takes his art his art all over the world, printed on every single bottle. Con la spada spezzata e lo spirito esausto, ho vagato per giorni nei boschi di Montioni fino a cadere, quasi morto, sulle sponde del Redigaffi >> La storia narra che un mugnaio riportò il cavaliere alla vita. Così, poté cavalcare fino al borgo di Suvereto dove i suoi sudditi lo portarono in trionfo, tra ghirlande, danze e banchetti, festeggiando la vittoria. With broken sword and worn-out spirit, I journeyed for days throughout the Montioni woods until, almost dead, I fell on the banks of the Redigaffi River >> The story tells of a miller who brought the knight back to life so that he could ride to the town of Suvereto where his subjects carried him in triumph with garlands, dancing, and banquets to celebrate the victory. Finalmente si torna a viaggiare e oggi vogliamo po Finalmente si torna a viaggiare e oggi vogliamo portarvi su un’isola che per noi è davvero speciale: Pantelleria. Sospesa tra le coste della Tunisia e la Sicilia, è la “perla nera” del Mediterraneo - così chiamata per la sua origine vulcanica - immersa in un mare blu cobalto, dominata dal sole e dal vento. Ci siamo innamorati di quest’isola, durante un viaggio di piacere: i profumi inconfondibili e le proprietà di questa terra hanno conquistato i nostri cuori. Così, nel 2014, acquistammo alcuni appezzamenti di vigneto per coltivare le uve di Zibibbo e dar vita al nostro Passito di Pantelleria: il Sese. Prodotto in pochissime bottiglie, recentemente premiato con 92 punti da @decanter, è il frutto della nostra passione per quest’isola incontaminata. Sorseggiare la 2017, dalle tipiche note di frutta secca e miele, è come viaggiare su quella terra, assaporandone quel perfetto mix di profumi tra macchia mediterranea ed esoticità. Suspended between the coasts of Tunisia and Sicily, it is the "black pearl" of the Mediterranean, so-called because of its volcanic origins. It is immersed in a cobalt blue sea and dominated by the sun and the wind. We fell in love with it when we were on a pleasure trip and the unmistakeable scents and the properties of the soil won our hearts. So, in 2014, we bought a few plots of vineyards to grow Zibibbo grapes and bring our Passito di Pantelleria into being: Sese. With limited production, recently earning 92 points in @decanter, it's the fruit of our love for this unpolluted island. Sip the 2017 with its typical notes of dried fruits and honey: it's like journeying across that land, savouring that perfect mix of scents of the Mediterranean brush and something exotic. Oggi vogliamo parlarvi di un’altra produzione di Oggi vogliamo parlarvi di un’altra produzione di casa Tua Rita che da sempre ci accompagna a tavola: il nostro olio extra vergine di oliva, in assoluto il primo prodotto della nostra terra. I nostri oliveti si estendono sia in collina che in pianura: la collina è ricca di terreni argillosi che donano un olio più delicato e profumato; la pianura, invece, ci regala un olio più intenso e deciso grazie al terreno argilloso con una grande percentuale di limo e sabbia. Da l’unione di questi due prodotti nasce l’olio di Tua Rita: un verde colore brillante, frutto della spremitura a freddo di olive delle varietà Leccino, Frantoio, Moraiolo e Leccio del Corno, è un extravergine con grande carattere, capace di esaltare piatti importanti e perfetto per il consumo a crudo. Testare per credere! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 We would like to tell you about another product of Tua Rita, which we have been taking to the table with us since forever: it is our extra virgin olive oil, the prime produce of our area. Tua Rita’s olive groves spread over both hill and plain: the hills are rich in clay soil which makes the oil delicate and fragrant; in the plains, on the other hand, the oil results in a more intense and decisive quality because the clay soil contains a large percentage of loam and sand. These two qualities, blended together, give us Tua Rita’s oil. It is a brilliant green colour because of the cold pressing of the olives, which varieties are: Leccino, Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccio del Corno. It's an extra virgin oil with great character which can bring out the flavour of great dishes and is perfect to consume raw.
